I. Curricular Aspects

  • To increase the number of programs including new subjects such as Geology, Nutrition, Agriculture.
  • To start major programs in existing program courses.
  • To enrich the curriculum through introduction of new certificate/ add-on courses
  • To introduce postgraduate programmes in some subjects
  • To introduce more field projects/ internships

 

II. Teaching, Learning, and Evaluation

  • To utilize the full potential of College Administration Management Software
  • To create student profiles for each student to map attendance, results, and achievements
  • To track the class performance and progress of slow and advanced learners
  • To focus more efforts to provide on counselling for students
  • To provide resources for extensive use of ICT in teaching-learning
  • To provide a comprehensive action taken plan based on student satisfaction survey

 

III. Research, Innovations, Extension

  • To create Central Instrumentation facility
  • To create opportunities for research for students in collaboration with faculty
  •  To sign more MOUs for collaborative research activities, faculty exchange programmes, student exchange programmes
  • To organise seminars/ workshops on Intellectual Property Rights
  • To collaborate with civil society organisations to conduct more community outreach programmes

 

IV. Infrastructure and learning resources

  • To enhance infrastructure to conduct state/national level examinations
  • To create a database of all documentation with geo-tagged photographs
  • To create a separate portal for library resources to make it more user-friendly
  • To motivate increase in reading and lending practices in the library to increase library footfall
  • To conduct administrative audit annually to keep track of budgetary allocations towards infrastructure augmentation and maintenance

 

V. Student support and progression

  • To extend the benefits of scholarship and fellowships to maximum students
  • To develop a comprehensive way to track the progression of students to higher education and employment
  • To register the alumni association and foster participation from alumni though annual reunion programmes
  • To improve the reach and services of the career counselling cell to promote placement for students
  • To promote inter-college cultural and sports events with neighbouring colleges
  • To launch periodic magazines and newsletters on relevant issues

 

VI. Governance, leadership, and management

  • To review and promote decentralization of functions through various committees
  • To implement the perspective plan document in the right spirit in keeping with the mission and vision of the college
  • To facilitate the promotion and welfare related initiatives for teaching and non-teaching staff
  • To provide financial support to staff to attend workshops/ conferences for career upliftment
  • To organise faculty development and staff development programmes tailor made to help with professional skills
  • To strengthen the performance appraisal system for teaching and nonteaching staff
  • To participate in quality assurance benchmarks such as NIRF, ISO, and so on

 

VII. Institution Values and Best Practices

  • To promote gender equity throughout the year
  • To develop alternate energy resources gradually to replace current systems
  • To develop more efficient systems of waste separation and disposal
  • To adopt green campus initiatives extensively
  • To develop a code of conduct and communicate the same with all stakeholders
